From my personal experience PS Elements and Lightroom would slow you down and I get the impression that speed is important here. Yep, at least after a shallow look at your workflow I would say that this is exactly where ACDSee should be the right choice. Am I on the right track for using this program or would Photoshop Elements 10 Organizer be better for this type of thing. My photos are already sorted by date and event and I need more detailed tagging or key-wording. Is this what ACDSee is good at without creating duplicate files? I'm thinking I can just tag people photos for example, crash photos etc. After the event, I manage to go through most of the files and sort out bad ones and do some basic editing and would like to do a backup at this point to an External Storage Device which is where I'd like to be able to do any tagging and key-wording in order to assist in finding various types of photos in this database in the future.

I often end up with thousands of photos and around 16 to 25 Gigs of images for 1 event. This must be done manually and concurrently so as to display the images on multiple monitors throughout the event in an organized manner to sell, so tagging and key-wording would not be much of an option at this point due to time constraints. The files are eventually all downloaded onto a computer and must be sorted by Event, Category or group, then individual participant folders. Some events may be only about 25 entries or less, but many have 100 or more participants, of which I attempt to take multiple photos and video clips throughout the event of each entry.
